Sustainable, Water-Wise Garden Tour

On Sunday, May 7, 2017 WE Watch and the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden will hold their first Sustainable, Water-Wise Garden Tour.  The tour will run from 1 – 4 p.m. with a wine reception following the tour from 4 – 5:30 p.m., catered by Sass. If you are an avid gardener or just enjoy beautiful landscapes, this will be an opportunity for you to see creative use of low water using plants and elegant hardscapes or learn about the best practices for using and managing water in your garden and lighting that protects the night sky.

The tour will offer a rare peak at four private gardens designed by local landscape professionals who will be onsite to present the unique features of their gardens as well as answer your specific questions. By having ticket holders provide their own transportation, we are able to hold the admission fee down.

Tickets prices are $55 for general public, $45 for members of WE Watch or the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden.

Proceeds from the Garden Tour will go to a scholarship program for graduating seniors from Santa Ynez High School who have been accepted into a 2- or 4-year college to pursue studies in the natural sciences, geology, ecology, land use planning, or agronomy. This scholarship program, funded by donations to WE Watch, is now in its fourth year. This year, for the first time, it will be co-sponsored by the SYV Botanic Garden.
