Job Description…
The Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden is looking for part time administrative staff to assist in membership support, program scheduling and event coordination.
The Botanic Garden is a vibrant, growing non-profit public botanic garden located adjacent to River View Park. Open 365 days a year. The Garden provides classes in local native horticulture, art, ethnobotany and the environment.
Position requires the following:
Strong organizational and writing skills
Computer competency in programs such as Word and Excel
Social media skills for assisting in managing the Garden’s Instagram, Facebook and web site
Comfortable working with the public and volunteers at Garden events
Hours are flexible however staff will be expected to work in the Garden office a minimum of two hours per week. The total number of hours is 8-10 hrs. per week, preferably divided into two to three days per week. Pay is hourly.
